Many will say it’s better to have a bad day on the golf course than a good day in the office, which makes a good day on the golf course really good.

And that is what we had for the 2014 Master’s Men National Golf Tournament. Forty-eight golfers gathered at the Windtree Gold Course in Mt. Juliet, TN where they were blessed with good weather and some great scores. Even though the weather was warm, we did not have the heat we have had in the past. And no rain!

The day began early and most finished in record time. Following some great golf was some great food; our guys enjoyed TN barbeque for lunch with all the fixings.

The 2014 winners were no strangers to the top spot; they finished second last year and won in 2012. Ronnie Dunn and Paul Ballard led the field with a 12 under par 60. Following close behind were last year’s winners, Tom Scott and Les Bowling with a 10 under 62. However, they were not alone. The team of Tim Baumgarten and Riley Young also scored a 62 but dropped to third on the scorecard playoff. Other teams with notable scores were Jerry Atwell and Danny Dwyer and the team of Tommy and Cage Ellis with 9 under 63. Of the 24 teams, 8 finished under par for the day.

In addition to the Championship flight winners, the team of Allen and Gaw won first place first flight and second place in first flight was Boswell and Boswell. First place second flight went to the team of Cooper and Pointer and second place to Goff and Lantrip. Also, many of the guys walked away with golf clubs donated by Jerry Atwell and a variety of gift cards.

Thanks to all the guys for their support of Master’s Men events.
